What is an ECC?
The ECC or the Employee Campaign Chairperson is:
- Leader of Workplace Campaign;
- A committed member of the United Way team - a donor and volunteer;
- A passionate spokesperson for the mission of the United Way of Saskatoon & Area.
Traits and responsibilities:
- The ideal Employee Campaign Co-ordinator is enthusiastic, resourceful, creative, and motivated to help others and build a more caring community.
- He or she is a leader - and is committed to the United Way and its Mission: "to improve lives & build community by engaging individuals & mobilizing collective action."
- He or she is a team player, and knows how to empower others
- Keeps informed about the United Way, and attends training sessions, encouraging fellow team members to do the same;
- Works closely and in partnership with the United Way Loaned Representative to develop the most effective and appropriate campaign at the workplace.
Primary Objectives of an Employee Campaign Chair:
- Educate & Inform;
- Establish a Plan and set Goals;
- Recruit effective, committed volunteers;
- Schedule and chair meetings
- Monitor your progress and help move your team along toward its goals;
- Communicate progress and results to all employees;
- Evaluate your campaign's performance and plan for next year;
- Recognize and thank volunteers, canvassers, and donors for their support
