Becoming a United Way Funded Agency
Funded Agency Admission Criteria
The agency shall:
- Have a clear statement of purpose directed at meeting a recognized human service need
- Demonstrate community need for funded services
- Not exclude participation by virtue of race, religion, gender, or ethnic and national origin
- Been in existence for 3 years
- Be incorporated under the Non Profit Corporations Act of Saskatchewan and be registered as a charitable organization with Canada Customs and Revenue Agency
- Have adopted Articles of Incorporation and By-laws
- Maintain a responsible/representative governing body of volunteers
- Demonstrate efficient use of human and financial services
- Demonstrate efficient use of community volunteers
- Identify other potential funding sources and demonstrate sound financial, management and accounting practices
- Make available to the general public, annual program and financial reports
- Demonstrate financial need for United Way investment
