The demographics of our community are changing daily. A growing population increases the need for accessible services, resources and supports. United Way is striving to make our community accessible and engaging for everyone.
Our community is strongest when individuals and families are connected to supports, engaged at both neighbourhood and community levels, and have a strong sense of personal well-being and safety.
Inclusion and engagement offset social isolation and strengthen the ability to integrate successfully into the community and workforce. When individuals and families can access the supports and services that build skills and confidence, they are better equipped to thrive. To increase connectivity and access to supports and services, United Ways of Saskatoon and Regina have collaborated to launch 211 Saskatchewan – a web service that quickly and easily links individuals and families to the supports they need. When individuals and families can access supports and services that build skills and confidence, they are better equipped to overcome challenges and take advantage of opportunities.
